What We Investigate
This policy developed August 6, 2002

Buynsellit.com will attempt to investigate reported cases of inappropriate member behavior, trading practices and rule violations. Matters of suspected criminal activity are turned over to local law enforcement personnel.

The following practices and/or rules violations may result in buynsellit.com taking action against you including suspension of your account.

• Using false registration information (name, address, phone number, email address).
• Threatening other buynsellit.com members.
• Spamming sellers and/or buyers registered with buynsellit.com.
• Use of profanity at any point on the website (Acceptable language for use on the buynsellit.com website is what a reasonable person would expect a 6 year old to hear).
• Feedback Extortion (demanding action from a user over the threat of a negative feedback).
• False Feedbacks (any feedback that is not based on a completed transaction).
• Feedback Solicitation (attempting to buy a better feedback rating or sell your feedbacks).
• Bid Retraction Abuse (excessive or frequent bid retractions).
• Non-payment after purchasing an item. (winning an item is considered a legally binding contract).
• Nuisance Bidding (bidding on a sellers item even after the seller has indicated your bid is not welcome).
• Shill bidding (bidding on your item is prohibited).
• Seller Change of Mind - A seller refusing your payment and failing to deliver an item that has been purchased.
• Fee Avoidance (Selling outside of buynsellit to avoid payment of seller fees).
• Underage User (You must be 18 to use buynsellit.com).
• Invalid Email Address.
• False representations of buynsellit.com employees.
• False representations of another buynsellit.com member.
• Attempting to interfere with the operation of the buynsellit.com website by software or other means.
• Bid Siphoning (Another seller offering to sell a similar item to a bidder)
• Publishing information about another user anywhere.

How to Report Abuses

To report abuses write a detailed note about the situation to customer service. Be sure to back up your claim with copies of emails and complete descriptions. Also, make certain your own contact information is correct on the buynsellit.com website.

What buynsellit.com WILL NOT Investigate

Buynsellit.com does not get involved in personal disputes between members unless the quality of our community is directly affected. Disputes may be failures to communicate, misunderstandings or other events over which buynsellit.com cannot be expected to have control.
